Or "Life Will Go On"

"It's dead! It's dead! I killed it mommy!" Luna cried, sobbing as her mother came to her, sweeping the child up in her arms to soothe her.

"Shh," she told the girl, swaying her back and forth. "I'm certain you didn't mean to it, it'll be alright."

Neyeeva walked over to the sill fairie dragon, Swift followed her, interested to see what all the fuss was about. The druid knelt down to the creature, picked it up and removed the little toy arrow from it's side. As her son watched, Neyeeva used her healer's sense to locate the animal's injuries. A green aura of magical energy started to over take the tiny form, the fairie dragon began to move.

"Momma!" Thalion cried, exstatic at the sight he was viewing. "You've healed it!" He exclaimed.

Luna's ears picked up on her cousin's words, immediately her tears ceased as she turned to see for herself the truth of his claims. "He's alive!" She shouted with just as much joy.

Neyeeva looked up at her niece with a smile, "You only knocked him unconscious and gave him a nasty bruise. He will be just fine."

"You see," Igraiyne spoke to her daughter, and nephew, "I told you it will be alright, not everything is as it seems to be. He's alive and well."

This is my 3rd and final entry for 's art challenge; the theme: "Life".

Again, I used a photomanipulation style, however this time I used WoW Model Viewer and a background screenie from Ashenvale. I am completely new with the WMV art style and model editing, but I think I did a pretty decent job. The children, I used both Blood Elf kid models and edited to the best of my ability to make them resemble Night Elves. Of course one of the children is half blood elf so I did not have to do too much editing there. As for their clothes, I wish my skill was better with creating and resembling ingame type style, but alas, I am still a novice at the digital art thing.

Okay, so here I have my druid Neyeeva with her son Thalion, and my hunter Igraiyne with her daughter Luna. Why I chose these OC's as my subject matter for the theme Life is simply this, both Neyeeva and Igraiyne have been through many hardships of their own, both have lost lovers (one twice over), been through some serious life-threatening drama and have lost many friends and allies, experienced betrayal by ones they trusted, and both at one point lost all hope for the future and became suicidal, in their own way (believe or not, their many experiences were seperate storylines, involving either one or the other and were not related, intertwined at one point, but never related). Despite all these hardships they each found it within themselves to go on living, and therefor they are able to experience their children, and the joys their children bring them, despite their hard losses.

In this scene we have Thalion (about age 5 or 6) and Luna (about age 3 or 4; Thalion is a couple of years older than her), watching in awe and with joy as Neyeeva revives a poor little fairie dragon that got in the way of Luna's toy arrow. Both Luna and Thalion learn not just to be careful when playing, but also things are not always what they at first appear to be, and to always respect the creatures and nature around them, lessons that will serve them well in the future.

Well, that's all I have to say about this piece, and yay! Art challenge complete!!
